Christmas Parade of the Ozarks 

 The 2018 Christmas Parade of the Ozarks, "March of the Toys," will be held on Saturday, November 24th beginning at 6:00pm.  The Parade will begin at Parsons Stadium and will conclude at Harris Street where the parade route will turn right (North) and disperse along Johnson Street.  Should the Parade be rained out the "Rain Date" will be Monday, November 26, at 6:00pm.  

 ENTRY PREPARATION:

  •  There is only ONE Santa and he is presented by last year's winning entry at the end of the parade.
  •  Please try to incorporate the theme into your float/entry design
  •  No floats over 14 feet tall
  •  All entries must have lights 
  •  No performances, which halt the parade's movement will be allowed.  Walking units must be able to sustain the parade's tempo. 

 JUDGING/LINE UP/PARADE:

  •  All entries must be on the grounds by 4:45pm.  This will allow enough time for us to pass out your staging numbers, obtain release forms, and get entries lined up in an orderly fashion so we can begin the parade on time.  The parade leaves Parson Stadium at 6:00pm.  
  •  All floats will enter Parsons Stadium from the South Entrance of Highway 265 and will form 3 lines in front of the office to depart from the Emma Street Entrance.  
  •  Car clubs will enter Parsons Stadium from the Parking Lot Entrance located on Highway 265.  Do not enter the Main Entrance on Emma Street.  

 JUDGING:

  •  Judging will take place during the parade route.  Your float will need to be set up and ready by the start of the parade if you plan to be judged.  There are no exceptions.  Winners will be notified the next week following the parade and set up a time for trophy presentation.  
  •  Vehicles in the staging area may not be left unattended at any time!  An adult must be with the vehicle in the staging area in the event the vehicle must be moved.  
  •  ABSOLUTELY NO THROWING OF CANDY OR OBJECTS!!!  This will not be tolerated, and your float or entry will be pulled from the parade.  You can, however, have people walking beside your entry handing out wrapped candy to parade spectators viewing from the curb.  
  •  Allow a safe distance of 2-3 car lengths between parade units at all times.  Vehicles should travel at approximately 2 miles per hour (walking speed).  The adult in charge of the unit is responsible for keeping the unit moving along the parade route.  NO ENTRY MAY STOP THE PARADE FOR PERFORMANCES OF ANY KIND, FORWARD MOTION MUST BE MAINTAINED. 
  •  Open flames are strictly prohibited

 Please note:  Emma Ave will be closed to all traffic beginning at 5:45pm. 

 Equestrian Units:  You cannot ride your horses back to Parsons Stadium.  You need to stage your horse trailers along Johnson Street.  MUST HAVE CURRENT PROOF OF NEGATIVE COGGINS. 

  •  If the weather becomes an issue, we will make announcements on the radio and answering machine at the Parsons Stadium Office.  

 Refreshments and bathroom facilities will be available in the Rodeo Community Center beginning at 4:30pm.
